To calculate number of rolls of wallpaper
Either use the chart below or carry out the following instructions. This is a rough calculation only. The number of rolls required may be influenced by the pattern of the wallpaper selected. The formula and chart is suitable for a non-patterned paper based on a standard roll, 10 metres in length x 50cm wide. For a more accurate assessment consult your wallpaper hanging specialist.
Step one: Measure the height of the wall to be papered, and divide into 10 metres. The result, excluding fractions, is the number of drops you will get from a standard roll of wallpaper.
Step two: Measure the length of the wall to be papered (include windows and doors) and divide by the width of the wallpaper (usually 500mm). This will give you the number of drops required.
Step three: Divide the answer to step two by the answer to step one and round up to the next whole number. This is the number of rolls you will require.
